current stem programming gaps

student compensation

Though free, most STEM programs ignore everyday student financial needs.

unclear career pathways

Though students learn coding skills, these skills are disconnected from practical career options and do not connect with workforce needs.

generational wealth

Students are encouraged to earn college degrees without practical ways to finance their education.

Mental health resources

Students are not given mental health resources that are easily available to help address issues of stress or unstable home environments.

the response

stem educational institute Program

The STEM Educational Institute provides a 1 - week program that serves as a career bridge for high school students to enter into STEM fields.

Computer Coding

Leveraging a case study based on the sponsoring firm, the scholars receive hands-on training to solve real-world problems using computer programming in Python or R.

Career Bridge
and
Financial Stability

Students are provided with a stipend to support their daily needs. This stipend allows students to focus on learning skills that can easily transfer into internships or full-time positions.

Generational Wealth

Students enroll in a 529 College Savings Plan and are given a scholarship. This is coupled with a wealth management curriculum where students learn fundamental skills to prepare and save for college and beyond.

Mental Health Resources

Throughout the program students will have mental health resources and learn stress management techniques.
